Jazz Band is a specialized ensemble in which students develop and perform a variety of works in the jazz idiom. Numerous styles are studied and instruction in improvisation is introduced. The ENHS Jazz Band performs at numerous concerts, festivals and other activities throughout the year.
Membership
The ENHS Jazz Band is open to all students who are currently enrolled in 1st hour Band. Exceptions are made for students who play guitar, bass, or piano. The wind section of the jazz band is comprised of alto, tenor, and bari saxophones, as well as trombones, and trumpets. The rhythm section is made up of guitar, bass, piano, drums, and vibes.
Rehearsal Schedule
The Jazz Band class meets every day during 2nd period.
