Marching Band

     The marching band is the most visible performing ensemble of the Edmond North Band Program. The marching band includes all band students, grades 9-12, in a team-oriented band experience. The ensemble performs at Edmond North football games, spirit events and competes throughout Oklahoma each fall with a unique and modern production designed specifically for Edmond North students.

Membership

The Edmond North Marching Band is open to all band students who have successfully completed middle school band. Placement auditions are held for all percussionists in the spring. The ENHS Color Guard is open to all instrumental and non-instrumental students at Edmond North.

Rehearsal Schedule

The marching band season runs from late July through October. Rehearsal dates and times are subject to change. For the most up-to-date schedule, see the ENHS Band Calendar. The regular rehearsal schedule is as follows:

Marching Band Camp - Two weeks of full day rehearsals in late July - early August

Morning Rehearsals - Every school day, 7:00-9:00am

Evening Rehearsals

• Full Band - Tuesdays, 5:00-8:00pm

• Color Guard & Percussion - Thursdays, 4:00-6:00pm (unless a football game performance)

Performances

The ENHS Marching Band performs their contest show, and provides exciting music from the stands at every Edmond North home football game, as well as both games against Edmond Memorial and Edmond Santa Fe. The band typically travels to perform at one "away" football game. All football games begin at 7:00pm.

Students are responsible for their own transportation for all football games played in Edmond. Bus transportation will be provided from ENHS to any game played outside of Edmond. Advance permission from the head director is required for any special transportation needs to and from away games.
